Armed with a nasty slider, Rollie
Fingers saved 341 games, won 114
games and garnered both the
American League MVP and Cy Young
Award in 1981 en route to being
elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame
in 1992.
Is it any wonder that Fingers saved
310 games sporting his trademark
handlebar mustache and only logged
31 saves without it?
