Jesse Jefferson--1978
For most of the 1970s we thought hurler
Jesse Jefferson was the son of George
Jefferson and the brother of Lionel
Jefferson.
Editor's Note: The hard throwing
Jefferson went 39-81, 4.81 in nine big
league seasons. Command eluded the
right-hander as he walked 520, while
fanning 522 during his career. A member
of the expansion Toronto Blue Jays,
Jefferson passed away from prostate
cancer on September 8, 2011.
