Ed Crosby--1973
A utility infielder with the St. Louis
Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds and
Cleveland Indians during the 1970’s
Crosby swung an anemic bat, while
providing pedestrian defense at multiple
positions.

Hitting just .220 during his big league
career, Crosby did manage to log six
seasons in the big leagues. We trust this
is because he was versatile, swung the
bat from the left side and basically
worked hard, as evidenced by his 1973
cardboard. Crosby was working so hard
at his hitting during his time with the
Cardinals that he   didn’t even take time
away from batting practice to pose for his
baseball card picture.

Editor’s Note: Crosby did sire a son who
went on to big league fame, as his son
Bobby was the 2004 Rookie of the Year
for the Oakland A’s.
