Diego Segui--1968
The question begs: “If Diego Segui was
in an A’s uniform and pitching for the
team in 1968, then why would Topps
airbrush out the logo on his hat?”
The answer is: That the A's moved to
Oakland for the '68 season and the caps
from '67 had a "KC" on them.
So there's another one of life's little
questions that is answered.
Editor’s Note: Segui would post six saves
and a sparkling 2.39 ERA in 52 outings
for Oakland in ’68, his second stint with
the A’s.
