Chris Brown--1987
The other day I paid a visit to the dentist
for a cleaning and to wrestle with a crown
gone mad. It was a two-hour voyage in
the chair as most of the time I had to turn
my head to the right, which resulted in
one--- very--- sore--- neck.

Once home the Advil flowed and I took to
the heating pad to rid myself of the
headache and pain in my neck.

Yet after a few hours, I was still on the
Disabled List. If there would have been
an afternoon game I was a definite
scratch. For a night game I could have
suited up, but I would not have moved
around very well.

Which brings us to Chris Brown.

According to the Sports Illustrated piece
that is linked below, Brown "once begged
out of a minor league game because he
said he'd strained his eyelid by 'sleeping
on it funny.'"

An eyelid? Come on.

Well, I proved to be game ready by the
next day, though I am not sure where I
would have ranked in this group of 30
"strange injuries" that happened to Major
League Players as presented by SI.
