Al Downing---1971

Al Downing won 123 games during
his 17-year major league career, was
a 20-game winner for the Dodgers in
1971, pitched in three different World
Series and logged two shutout
innings for the American League in
the 1967 All-Star Game. However, he
will always be remembered as the
pitcher who gave up Hank Aaron’s
715th home run.

You did good Al, but sometimes life
just isn’t fair.
